A Comparative Study of the Difference between Mr. Kwek Leng Beng (Millennium Hotels and Resorts) and Mr. Kwon Ping Ho (Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts) Leadership Style
Leadership plays essential parts in leading successful business. The objective of this paper is to investigate the leadership style of two ASEAN hospitality leaders in managing two largest hotel chains in Asia namely, Millennium Hotels and Resorts and Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts. The findings revealed that the strong leadership style and approach by the two have led to the success of the organisations. The transformational, servant and transactional approaches have significantly given impact in managing the organisations in the fast-changing business environment. Furthermore, this study provides some perspective to help gain understanding in the Asian hospitality industry.
